Foster a Farm Animal Program
Annual Operating Drive - If you visit the farm, or enjoy the wonderful open fields CCF helps to maintain, or simply like knowing that a farm is operating in your midst, please make a donation and share in the stewardship of the farm's future. This year CCF needs to raise $50,000 just to cover our operation expenses. In addition, we are seeking significant gifts to expand our programs and provide needed capital repairs to our barns and grounds. FARM THOUGHTS by Elizabeth Lehrer
Codman Farm is the most magical place in the world. Walking down the steps to the farmyard below, you will be transformed from the earthy, sweet smells of fresh cut hay, the symphony of cows, sheep, geese, ducks, goats, pigs calling out to you, and the expanse of community gardens growing a bountiful harvest .
Come meet our passionate volunteers who cannot keep themselves away, because we are a family of friends that have discovered the transformative power of farming. Each day we spend at the farm is a day that we think of often and grin to ourselves at how much fun and joy we share.
Come meet our animals. We love each of them and care for them in a way that honors their needs and lets them enjoy each day of their lives. Meet our newest boys, Otto and Philip. They are two young steers that enjoy a walk from their pens out to the pasture each day. I am not sure who enjoys the walk more, the steers or the volunteers that walk them back and forth. There's no greater pleasure than getting to hug a steer.
Come let us share our secrets with you. You will not be disappointed. In fact, I expect you will be transformed as I have been and never want to spend a week without at least a few visits to see your friends here at the farm. Join us!
